The Recreation and Culture Department

The quality of life of Morinheighters is a priority for the municipal Council. In light of this, the Recreation and Culture Department uses a variety of means.

 
 

Library

The library is part the Regional Service Centre for Public Libraries, locally referred to as BIBLIO Service, which provides products and services related to the operation of our library, including professional, collection and computer support. Morin-Heights figures among its 60 affiliated members.

 
 

Parks & Trails Networks

The Municipality offers many parks for a wide array of activities.

 
 

Cross-country & Snowshoe Trails

Morin-Heights and cross-country skiing have been synonymous for over 90 years. The Municipality maintains a ski trail network of over 130 linear kilometres, of which 65 km is track set.

Day Camp

Registrations are now closed and places are full.

Piedmont’s Campuces will welcome Morin-Heights’ children this summer at Mont Habitant (12, ch. des Skieurs, St-Sauveur).

REGISTRATIONS at Piedmont’s Town Hall (670, rue Principale)
Friday, April 5th from 18:00 to 20:00 or Saturday, April 6th from 8:00 to 15:00 or Monday, April 8th from 8:30 to 15:00

To validate the registration, you must bring:
- a proof of residence
- two recent photos of your child
- the medical insurance card number of your child
- your social insurance number (for relevé 24)
- the payment for one-third of the total amount, by cheque, cash or debit card to be paid upon registration. Balance payable in two equal installments by post-dated cheques made to the “Municipalité de Piedmont”, dated May 6 and June 6, 2019.

No refund in case of abandonment for registration at Campuces, for outings, daycare, and tennis.

Camp for 5-11 year olds - Tuesday, June 25th to Friday, August 9th, from 8:45 to 16:15
Full summer: 1st child: $ 470(*), 2nd child: $ 440(*), 3rd child: $ 420(*)
Weekly: 1st child: $ 120(*), 2nd child: $115(*), 3rd child: $110(*)
(*) After April 26th, prices will be increased by 10%.
One outing per week (price of the outings are not included); the day camp is closed during outings. If your child is not registered for the outing, he will have to stay at home.

Additional week - August 12th to 16th
1st child: $100, 2nd child: $95, 3rd child: $90

Tennis classes for 5-11 year olds, 5 weeks (1 hour/ week), price to be determined.

Daycare 5-11 year olds from 7:30 to 8:45 and 16:15 to 18:00
No daily fee. Late fee after 18:00: $1/ minute payable the same day.
5-day card $30 per child (purchase at registration) or
Full summer 1st child: $145, 2nd child: $125, 3rd child: $125

Teen Club 12-14 year olds - Tuesday, June 25th to Thursday, August 8th (hours to be determined depending on the outings) $40(*) basic fee payable at registration. Several outings every week, cost to be confirmed with the list of outings. (*) After April 26th, prices will be increased by 10%.
