Access to Documents - Protection of personal information

The Municipality applies the provisions of the Act respecting access to documents and the protection of personal information (RLRQ, c. A-2.1) as well as the fee schedule prescribed therein.

The person responsible for access to documents is Mr. Hugo Lépine. He can be reached using the various means: municipalite@morinheights.com or (450) 226-3232, ext. 101 .

He is assisted in the performance of his duties by a committee on access to documents and the protection of personal information, which meets approximately three times a year.

Any request for access to a document can be made filling out the interactive Request for access to documents form or by completing the Request for access to documents form and sending it to: 567, chemin du Village, Morin-Heights (Quebec) J0R 1H0 or by email to municipalite@morinheights.com.

The Municipality has between 20 and 30 days from the reception of your request to make its decision. The decision can be sent for revision to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

We also attach great importance to protecting the personal information we sometimes collect to enable us to provide you with the services you want from the Municipality. We ensure that only the information essential to the provision of any of the municipal services offered is collected. Two policies guide our actions in this regard:

The Policy on Access to documents and the protection of personal information sets out the Municipality’s rules of governance in these areas (French only);

The Confidentiality Policy sets out all aspects of the management and protection of personal information (French only).

The Municipality complies with the Archives Act, and the conservation and destruction of documents is carried out in accordance with a plan that has been prepared, adopted and kept up to date.
