Council Sitting

Municipal democracy manifests itself during Council meetings. The elected officials meet as a council representing the population, and as its representative, they make decisions on the direction and action priorities of the town.

The ordinary sessions of the Council typically take place the second Wednesday of each month (see calendar for exceptions), at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, which is located at 567 Village Road. See Council meetings Calendar below for dates.

Special meetings can be called at any time to deal with the urgent matters stated in the convocation notice. No other subjects can be discussed, except if all the Council members are present and only with their unanimous consent.

Council meetings are public and a questions period is reserved at the end of each session for those present.

The Councillors are using lap tops to reduce the use of paper during sessions.

"Facing Change and Staying Zen" Presentation

Les Z’animés, online activities, and conferences (in French) presented by the Municipal Library!

Do you feel like you are subjected to changes instead of choosing them? We are in a space-time where change happens at the speed of sound, but change is also part of life... During this ‘‘edu-animation’’ by Carole Miville, you will discover tools to accentuate your resistance to change; to help you review your beliefs, values, and power, to choose to maintain your integrity through change; to learn how to mourn the known to move towards the unknown, and to take action. In short, you will learn to stay zen!

Live on Zoom (meeting number: 838 9445 3074 / password: 076124) on Sunday, May 16 at 11:00, and available for viewing for seven days on the municipal YouTube channel (availability dates TBA).
