Private Roads and Waste Collections

First, it is important to ensure that these paths are easily accessible in width and height by 7:00 on the morning of a collection.

In particular, they must be:
- clear of snow, ice, or any obstruction;
- sanded and drivable;
- trees must be trimmed.

It is important to remember that a collection truck must stop frequently to empty the bins, so if the street is not properly sanded and plowed, the truck will not risk getting stuck. Therefore, the collection will not be completed and will not be picked up. The bins will be emptied only at the next scheduled collection.

We invite you to consult the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut’s by-law 389-2019 regarding residual materials, their collection and disposal to learn more.
