Le Service des loisirs et de la culture

The quality of life of Morinheighters is a priority for the municipal Council. In light of this, the Recreation and Culture Department uses a variety of means.

 
 

Library

The library is part the Regional Service Centre for Public Libraries, locally referred to as BIBLIO Service, which provides products and services related to the operation of our library, including professional, collection and computer support. Morin-Heights figures among its 60 affiliated members.

 
 

Parks & Trails networks

The Municipality offers many parks for a wide array of activities.

 
 

Cross-country & Snowshoe Trails

Morin-Heights and cross-country skiing have been synonymous for over 90 years. The Municipality maintains a ski trail network of over 130 linear kilometres, of which 65 km is track set.

 
 

Day Camp

Piedmont’s Campuces will welcome Morin-Heights’ children this summer at Mont Habitant (12, ch. des Skieurs, St-Sauveur).

REGISTRATIONS at Piedmont’s Town Hall (670, rue Principale) on Friday April 1st from 8:30 to 19:00 or Saturday April 2nd from 8:00 to 15:00.

To validate the registration, you must bring:
- proof of residence
- recent photo of your child
- Medical insurance card number of your child
- Parent’s social insurance number (for relevé 24)
- Full payment by cheque (payable to Municipalité de Piedmont, dated no later than June 10th, 2016), cash or debit card. No refund.

Camp for 5-11 year olds - Monday June 27th to Friday August 12th, from 9:00 to 16:15
Full summer: 1st child: $ 445(*), 2nd child: $ 415(*), 3rd child: $ 395(*)
Weekly: 1st child: $ 105(*), 2nd child: $100(*), 3rd child: $95(*)
(*) After April 30th, prices will be increased by 10%.
One outing per week. Details will be available at the registrations (price of the outings are not included).

Additional week - August 15th to 19th
1st child: $90, 2nd child: $85, 3rd child: $80

Tennis classes for 5-11 year olds, 5 weeks (1 hour/ week), $46 taxes included.

Daycare 5-11 year olds from 7:30 to 9:00 and 16:15 to 18:00
No daily fee. Late fee after 18:00: $1/ minute payable the same day.
5-day card $30 per child (purchase at registration)

Full summer (June 27th to August 12th)
1st child: $130, 2nd child: $110, 3rd child: $110

Teen Club 12-13 year olds --- Tuesday, June 28th to Thursday August 11th
(hours to be determined depending on the outings)
$25(*) basic fee payable at registration.
Several outings every week, cost to be confirmed with the list of outings.
(*) After April 30th, prices will be increased by 10%.
